Help:
This is an advanced option that allows you to work with the latest Google Earth imagery free of charge.
To export Google Earth imagery for your course:
Enter the min and max latitude and longitude of your course.
By default, this is a 100m buffer around the currently selected course.
Click "Show Bounding Box in Google Earth".
This will generate a KML file to overlay the bounding box in Google Earth.
In Google Earth, deselect 3D Buildings and Terrain, to get a flat image.
Zoom in so you can see the whole of the bounding box with a small margin on all sides.
Select the most recent or best imagery from the Google Earth timeline.
Click "File > Save" and save the image at maximum resolution.
Open the image in GIMP or any other image editor that can accurately crop large images.
Crop the image precisely to the bounding box.
Save the cropped image using the filename provided above with the bounding box coordinates in the name.
Select the cropped image using the "Browse" button at the top.
Click "Overlay Selected Image".
The image will then be overlayed in the bounding box in ProVisualizer.
Note that you must crop the image precisely to the bounding box in step 10 above.
If you don't crop the image precisely, the yardages will be inaccurate and the image won't align with the terrain data.
